Trainer - Colorado

Growing up in Colorado I was a three sport athlete at Buena Vista High School where I played football, basketball, and track. I was the Marines Junior Scholar Athlete of the Year in 1996, part of the 1995 class 3A State Basketball Championship team, and regional high jump champion with a personal best jump of 6’10”. I’m proud to be from Buena Vista whose alumni include a Super Bowl Champion and Olympic Silver medalist. I come from an athletic background as my father was athletic director for 17 years and my cousins played volleyball at Georgia Tech and wrestled at Indiana University. My college athletic career was cut short due to a car accident that left me paralyzed. Today I share my story of overcoming obstacles to inspire others. I have 13 years of coaching experience with 7 of those years as a varsity boy’s basketball coach in Colorado, and twice I coached in the Down Under Hoops Basketball Tournament in Australia. In 2008 I was voted the Inter-mountain League Coach of the year. I have taught physical education and health for 13 years and have a Masters degree in Sports Management.
