LA Galaxy's Partner of the Match

06.24.2015

Among PCA-Los Angeles’ first activities was kick-off of a partnership with Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy. Highlighting the June 20 event was this video that ran on the StubHub Center Jumbotron. Using flat and full soccer balls as a metaphor for Negative and Positive Coaching illustrates that Negative Coaching drains athletes’ emotional tanks, while Positive Coaching fills their Emotional Tank and results in better performance.

  • Chris Klein - President, LA Galaxy and PCA-Los Angeles Board Member (talent in the video!)
  • Albert Lanzillo - Manager, Video Production, LA Galaxy
  • Lauren Nowinski - Director, Community Relations and LA Galaxy Foundation
  • Alan Berkes - Executive Director PCA-Los Angeles

Elsewhere in StubHub Center that day, PCA integrated the flat-and-full soccer ball concept into a Triple-Impact Competitor® workshop for 60 youth soccer players involved in the Galaxy’s Community Outreach Program. Within the workshop, expert soccer jugglers used both the flat and full soccer balls to impress upon workshop attendees the difference between tying to perform athletically with an empty Emotional Tank vs. a full Emotional Tank.
