Rich Tomey

Regional Director, Arizona + Hawaii

Rich Tomey has been with PCA since March of 2017 as Executive Director of the Arizona Chapter. In December of 2018, along with his current role in Arizona, Rich will assume the privilege of assisting with the day to day operations for PCA-Hawaii as Executive Director (CED). As CED, Rich is responsible for assisting PCA-Hawaii Partnership Manager Carolyn Quindica with the success and growth of the Hawaii Chapter. He will work closely with the PCA-Hawaii Board, trainers and supporters to develop, implement and evaluate a long-term strategy for the chapter. He represents PCA in the community by developing relationships with business, philanthropic, academic and government leaders. In addition, Rich is responsible for helping to raise sufficient funds annually for PCA-Hawaii to thrive and grow.

Prior to PCA, Rich worked for the Arizona Cardinals, most recently as Business Development Manager. Earlier, he served as the Cardinals Youth Outreach Coordinator, launching and building the team’s efforts in this area to become one of the best in the NFL. Rich also worked for the NFL Players Golf Club and for the Arizona Diamondbacks (and a 2001 World Series Championship) before joining the Cardinals.

Rich played one year of professional baseball and played for four years at the University of Arizona.  His dad, Dick Tomey, was a legendary head football coach at the University of Hawaii, Arizona, and San Jose State, and has supported PCA-Hawaii over the years.

Rich grew up in Hawaii from ages 7-17 and attended Kahala Elementary and University Lab School. “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to return back to the islands and work with our PCA Hawaii Team to continue to make a positive difference in the community,” said Rich. “Hawaii has an amazing youth sports culture which was a huge part of my life growing up, and I look forward to the opportunity to find creative ways to help PCA continue to be a vital resource to the people of Hawaii.”
