Community Impact Manager, Tampa Bay
Michael Wardlow joined Positive Coaching Alliance in May 2019 in the role of Community Impact Manager for the Tampa Bay Chapter. Wardlow played collegiate basketball at Hillsborough Community College before transferring to Clearwater Christian College and later University of South Florida where he received a B.S. in History with a Concentration on Africana Studies. He later earned his M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision/Educational Leadership from National-Louis University.
Prior to PCA, Wardlow spent 20 years coaching AAU basketball and volleyball as well as organizing and running various youth sports leagues with the YMCA of the Suncoast, City of Largo Parks & Recreation, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay. With the many leagues, he was responsible for implementing policies and trainings for coaches, parents, and spectators.
Outside of PCA, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He still loves playing basketball and recently started kickboxing. Since the coach/teacher/mentor spirit still flows strong within his veins, he will often help to organize and run basketball, volleyball, and flag football trainings.
